I am now contributing to the 8 & 20 feature on WineSpectator.com. This series features simple recipes with 8 ingredients or less, paired with a delicious wine for under $20.
My first recipe, Tuna Steaks with Tomato-Basil Orzo, is up right now and it is perfect for summer! It's really easy, healthy, and delicious. Here it is paired it with a Vinho Verde, which is one of my favorite summertime wines. It tends to be cheap, delicious, and refreshing and it worked beautifully with this dish. Later, Greg and I also tried this recipe against a light bodied Pinot Noir, which also worked well. So if you're in the mood for red, go for it! Tuna is tough enough to take it--just be sure to pick a red that is low in tannins.
