It’s that time of year again when everyone gathers around the TV to watch the Super Bowl, and I take to the kitchen to come up with game day eats.
I’ve admitted in the past that I’m not a big sports fan. I really don’t tend to watch the game. I am not, however, opposed to joining in the fun. And there’s something about a Super Bowl party that inspires a slew of tasty eats!
My latest 8 &20 recipe on WineSpectator.com for Steak-Loaded Cheesy Baked Potatoes fits right in – they’re hearty, super tasty, and easier than you’d think. Check them out.
I often like to share a leftover makeover idea for my 8 & 20’s. This time Greg and I enjoyed the leftovers pretty much as they were, and they continued to be really delicious. If you want to switch things up though, consider turning it all into a hash. Chop the potatoes and components into pieces, and re-grill them up in pan to get them crispy. If you’ve got steak leftover, it’ll fit right in. If not, feel free to add chicken, bacon, or sausage – pretty much whatever protein you feel like. Or, just top it all with a fried egg.
Over the years, I’ve come up with quite the list of Super Bowl Apps. Here’s a round-up, plus a few other recipes that should fit right in.
